Schmutz’s gig recommendations for July Dina Elsayed
It’s almost July and we welcome Gabriel Dunn and newbie Mark Byrne from Berlin’s independent music magazine and gig guide, Schmutz, back in the studio to share their live music recommendations for July 2019.
It’s going to be a hot and heavy month, according to Schmutz, with a focus on loud metal and punk bands. Some of the gigs mentioned include: Florida punk band Gouge Away, who are playing Zukunft Ostkreuz on July 3, “chilled out jazzy hip hop artist” FloFilz beats on July 6 at Club Gretchen, South African hip hop artist Sho Madjozi, who plays Gretchen on July 24 and experimental band Sun – who are playing a two-day show at Festal Kreuzberg on July 30 and 31.
