“The wind has been fierce on our land bordering Joshua Tree National Park. We’re living in a 1950’s Aluminum trailer while we build a house using the rocks on the land and milling our own salvaged wood.”
“An older man asks me to guess his age. I’m scared. He looks old. I don’t like these age guessing games. First I decline, but he insists.”

Nancy Pearce is an artist living in Los Angeles. She takes everyday items like a dish sponge or bagel and casts them in bronze to elevate these everyday forms into art, creating trophies of the mundane. Nancy spent eight years living in the desert of Joshua Tree building a house and studio. Three years were spent in a Streamline trailer with her beloved dog Fritz Carraldo.
