By Fredrika Brillembourg

Each month, opera singr Fredrika Brillembourg talks to creatives in the world of opera and classical music. In this edition, Fredrika speaks with Mena Mark Hanna, who started his musical life as a boy soprano in the Philadelphia Boys Choir and is now the Dean of Barenboim-Said Akademie in Berlin.

This November, the academy has invited leading poets, artists and musicians from East and West to come together for a festival celebrating 200 years of Goethe’s “West-Eastern Divan.” The festival, “A New Divan” takes place from Nov. 18 through Nov. 20.
